Another Fine Mess

More of these pointless cuts are coming home to roost, and the boys hope against hope that the administration has reached a tipping point in pissing off their own supporters. Plus Roger and Mike stand up for the men and women of the US military. Lord knows the Pentagon isn't.

The hypocrisy and corruption from the administration continues to reach new heights, or low, even though we always think that's impossible. This week Rog and Mike point out that the actual party praising communists and embracing Muslims are the republicans, even while that sophomoric name calling has become the official party platform. There are also the chickens coming home to roost after cuts at the FDA, and forest fires worse than ever after, you guessed it, they cut money and fired firefighters. It's indeed Another Fine Mess.

So much in the news to piss the boys off this week. The criminal administration wants to end many time-proven vaccines, eliminate all Muslims and Hindus, deny basic historical fact, and offer their version of thoughts and prayers to help Americans struggling financially. Of course, when the prez says "affordability" is a made up "Democrat" word, would you expect anything less? But it's all rosy to them because he's dropped a billion taxpayer bucks gold plating venerable bronze statues and the in-laws just bought the Lakers and EA Madden. Can a tiny, computerized Hirocheeto in the stands be far behind?

The guys sprinkle the latest egregious administration corruption throughout this week's look at the news. Big Bird is under attack again, US auto makers are on the ropes, and a little look at a low point for the great Jackie Robinson. And did we mention corruption?

Need distractions to make people forget that we're all in high-priced hot water? Haul an 86-year old retired guy before Congress. The lads also discuss more severe limitations on student loans, health care, free speech and especially your pocketbook. And of course, we're still stuck in an idiotic war. Oy!

The boys get a tad tangential this week and throw in talk about raccoons, Lyndon Johnson, and their radio days. Mostly though, it's the usual no-holds-barred informed analysis of the weeks politics and news. Done with some snark and a smile. 

It's always tough to distill a week's worth of administration corruption into 40 minutes, but the guys talk War with Iran, Defense budget, Lindsey Graham, ICE murders, the cowardly speaker, the housing bill, more election lies, and the gutting our the US Parks Service lands so republican cronies can line their already bulging pockets. Whew. If that's not enough, what about ancient scarlet macaws on the high deserts of New Mexico?

The boys tackle lots of news, spending plenty of time on the U.S. World Cup disruption, but not neglecting the NATO meeting, the restarted war, Graham Platner, another ICE murder, and the gutting of America's greatest treasures - our National Parks. If that's not enough, Mike shares the history of canned food and a bit of an oversight.

The gents excoriate the much-less-than-Supreme Court, but Mike may piss off some fellow libs in the process. It's more amateur hour at the war & peace table, Roger takes a New York candidate to task, and Mike finds one post-presidential job he really likes.

Roger & Mike covered a lot this week. Republicans trying to ban IVF, Republicans telling their own Muslim members to leave the country, a grocery store racist who made $125k, some 16th century Austrian history, and blue paint bubbling to the green surface. Despite the algae, this episode of AFM is good, (mostly) clean political fun.
